Track Difficulty
Back to XTG Home Page
Basically since just after I started racing each extreme track I thought it
would be a good idea to keep
a record of the race time for the 8 laps I was
racing.
I wasn't sure I would do anything more than just have it in the
track info pages, but I had an idea.
There is a need to show how hard a track
is to race on compared to the fastest lap time I could do.
So each track I
have raced on to get a fastest lap time I have kept a note of the race time.
There is a need to show in a number how hard/difficult a track is. Which I have
noticed that a few
occasions I have been lucky and done 1 good lap time but
the rest have been much longer. A track
like this is usually very hard and
usually only luck will help you. I thought the flow % would
suffice but there
was still a question in my mind that the flow number is not the whole storey.
Basically flow comes from the fastest lap time. This then and disregards the
other 7 laps. and so
the race time for 8 laps can hide the overall difficulty
of the track.
This I have named on my site is called Track Difficulty.
This is a measure of the difference in lap time for the other 7 laps compared to
the fastest laps time.
The main aim is to have the difference in lap time as
a percentage of the fastest lap time.
( ( ( Race Time - Fastest Lap Time
) divided by 7 ) -Fastest Lap Time ) divided by Fastest Lap Time
